Anniversary exhibition “125 years of Opel automobiles”

Opel celebrated 125 years of automobile construction and the Nationales Automuseum joined in the celebrations. A temporary special exhibition on the museum’s central market square showcased 16 classics from the Rüsselsheim-based car brand, from the Lutzmann System motor car from 1899 to the best-selling Laubfrosch small car and the two millionth Opel built, a Kapitän adorned with gold and gemstones. Other highlights of the small but fine brand show were: the Elektro GT electric car study presented in 1971, the cult racing car Cliff-Calibra and the cosmic-curious future vision Opel Corsa Moon.
